My Goal as a Christian Counselor
Starting counseling may seem scary or difficult, but my goal as your counselor is to partner with you to nurture your healing process. As your therapist, I will come alongside you and collaborate with you to achieve your goals. My professional background in healthcare allows me to understand the importance of both the mind and the body being healthy. By incorporating effective therapeutic techniques from a faith-based perspective, my aim is to help you gain overall health and well-being.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a calm, quiet, sensory-pleasing environment where you can feel comfortable sharing whatever is on your mind and heart. I will meet you where you are, following your lead in terms of what topics you would like to address during our session. As your counselor, I aim to offer helpful guidance that is therapeutically and spiritually relevant to your situation as we work together to achieve the outcomes you desire.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
I have seen clients who seek Christian counseling heal faster and more deeply than those who chose not to pursue a faith-based approach. In my experience, sharing the common ground of biblical principles provides structure for the sessions and an environment of safety, knowing that we are working toward a greater purpose. I have witnessed the Holy Spirit’s impact on my clients’ lives in ways that allow them to walk boldly into their recovery and healing. My faith is the reason I provide counseling, and it affects every aspect of my profession.
Qualifications & Experience
I hold a Master of Science degree in Christian Counseling from Grand Canyon University, a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Grand Canyon University, and an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from Amarillo College. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist and a Certified Brainspotting Therapist.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I became a Christian counselor from the direction of the Lord. Not long after I was saved, I sensed the Lord leading me to become a counselor.

Spiritual Development
My goal as a Christian counselor is to nurture a richer connection between my clients and God. Life can feel fast and overwhelming at times, and we can find ourselves feeling disconnected from the Lord. My hope is that, through our sessions, you will feel safe to explore the areas needed to help you grow and flourish in your relationship with Him. I would be honored to be a part of your spiritual development.
Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
My personal definition of trauma can be defined as anything that was experienced in life that an individual felt they were unable to overcome. For example, experiencing bullying as a child/adolescent/adult, feeling as if your voice is not heard, feeling isolated or alone without solutions or support, experiencing death, and events such as sexual and physical assault, to name a few.
Trauma has the potential to cause unwanted and sometimes unknown challenges in a person’s life. In my experience, I believe that those affected by trauma need their voice to be heard. My goal is to allow space for listening and guiding as you process the trauma with the true Healer, the Lord. A traumatic event or events do not have to define you. As your counselor, my approach is to allow you to rewrite your story and narrative with God’s help and strength.
Brainspotting
I am a certified Brainspotting therapist. This approach allows individuals to process trauma and life experiences from the understanding that connecting the body and brain leads to deeper healing. The process does not “take away” or “make you forget” what happened to you. Brainspotting allows you to reprocess events by assisting the brain in what it does best – heal. We will work together to create a safe space for healing to transpire. Clients who choose to incorporate brainspotting in sessions experience faster healing and greater understanding.
Codependency
If you are experiencing codependency, I am here to guide you toward healing through understanding, boundary setting, and advocacy. In our sessions, I will work to provide space to increase self-awareness and help you navigate ways to relate to yourself and those around you in a healthy manner.
Abandonment and Neglect
An essential part of life is community, which was beautifully designed by God. However, we live in a fallen world where sin and destruction can cause the community to become a place for hurt or harm. Experiencing feelings of abandonment and/or neglect can leave you believing lies from the enemy that there is something wrong with you. As your counselor, my goal will be to facilitate ways for you to explore a relationship that can bring complete fulfillment and truth – your relationship with Christ.
